Highlights of South Market in BARC Data week 3

According to the BARC data released for week 3 (for the period 14th January to 20th January) South Regional TV market has witnessed various high points due to the telecast of Special Programs and premier movies on the occasional Sankranti and Pongal festival. The following are some of the notable high points that happened during week 3:

Sun TV: World Television Premier (WTP) of Super Hit movie “Kidaari ” has improved viewership of the channel in Saturday 11 AM to 2:00 PM time-band by 2.4 times when compared with the previous 4 week’s average.

Kalaignar TV: World Television Premieres of “Urumeen” between 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Saturday improved its viewership by 2 times from previous 4 week’s average of 321 Impressions (000s) to 624 Impressions (000s) and “Pazhaya Vannarpettai” movies aired between 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday has improved the ratings of the channel by 14 times from 80 Impressions (000s) to 1111 Impressions (000s).

Jaya TV: Live telecast of Ayyapan Temple Makarajyothi on Saturday 4:30 to 6:45 PM has shown 9 times growth. While, WTP of Remo movie on Saturday 6:50 PM to 10:30 PM has shown 14 times increase in numbers. WTP of Meen Kulambum Man Panayum on Sunday, 11AM to 2:30 PM has shown 2 times improvement in viewership. WTP of Movie Thodari on Sunday, 6 PM to 10:10 PM has shown 5 times increase in numbers of the respective time band.

Udaya TV: WTP of Kannada movie “Kotigobba-2” on Saturday 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM has improved viewership of the time band by more than 5 times with its Impressions (000s) surging from 4 week’s average of 927 to 4969.

Zee Telugu: Special event “Rajamandrilo Sankranti Sambharalu” aired on Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM has improve viewership by more than 3.5 times and new fiction show “Pannaga” launched on Monday 8:30 to 9:00 PM has improved by 96% with its numbers peaking from 4 week’s Avg of 2883 to 5652 Impressions (000s)

ETV Telugu : Special event “JSR Group Suncity Sankranti Pandam Kollu” on Saturday 9 AM to 12 PM has improved the viewership of the time band by more than 7 times with its Impressions (000s) surging from previous 4 week’s Avg of 1150 to 8097.
