Mumbai: Himalaya Wellness has partnered with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Women’s team to launch the 1derwoman Academy, a platform aimed at mentoring and empowering aspiring young women cricketers across India. The initiative coincides with National Girl Child Day and builds on the brand’s 1derwoman movement, which encourages girls to overcome challenges and aspire to be #1 in their chosen fields.
The 1derwoman Academy bridges the gap between young cricket enthusiasts and the RCB Women’s team through an interactive, conversation-led chatbot. The platform allows participants to receive motivational content, cricketing insights, and confidence-building guidance directly from their role models. Additionally, aspiring players can register for a chance to receive one of 100 scholarships, turning inspiration into tangible opportunity.
The chatbot experience includes a welcome message from the RCB team, personalized tips from players, and a guided pathway where completing the journey also serves as a scholarship application. Participants who successfully finish the program are awarded a certificate, reinforcing Himalaya’s focus on structured support and real-world impact.
Speaking on the launch, Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Director – Consumer Products Division, Himalaya Wellness Company, said, “At Himalaya, our approach is anchored in building purposeful initiatives that deliver measurable impact. With the launch of the 1derwoman Academy, we are strengthening this commitment by moving beyond inspiration to action, building a structured pathway that supports learning, confidence, and long-term growth for young girls.”
Ragini Hariharan, Marketing Director – Beauty & Personal Care, Himalaya Wellness, added, “1derwoman was created to ensure young girls don’t just admire role models from afar, but feel supported in their own journeys. The Academy allows us to scale this intent by combining technology with credible voices, making mentorship accessible, relatable and relevant for today’s generation.”
Abhishek Ashat, General Manager – Beauty & Face Care, Himalaya Wellness, said, “The 1derwoman Academy is designed to inspire action, not just awareness. Through guided interactions, resources and scholarships, we aim to support young girls at a formative stage of their lives. It is a meaningful extension of our brand purpose where wellness is not just about products, but about nurturing confidence, capability and long-term impact.”
Beyond the digital platform, Himalaya Wellness also conducted a cricket tournament in collaboration with the Female Cricket Academy, receiving over 200 registrations. 25 young girls earned the chance to meet the RCB Women’s team, turning mentorship and inspiration into a real-world experience.
