New Delhi: In a strategic leadership move aimed at accelerating India’s digital transformation and sustainable growth, Hitachi has announced the elevation of Dr. Bharat Kaushal, Corporate Officer at Hitachi, Ltd. and Managing Director, Hitachi India, to the role of Executive Chairman and Acting Managing Director of Hitachi India, in addition to Corporate Officer, In charge of Regional Strategies (India), Hitachi, Ltd. The appointment is effective from April 1, 2025.
This marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey in India, reaffirming its vision to scale operations and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s socio-economic development. The leadership transition is expected to further solidify Hitachi’s foundation in India and fuel its progressive growth strategy.
Dr. Kaushal, who made history in FY2017 as the first Indian Managing Director of Hitachi India, has played a transformative role in driving growth across diverse sectors including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, e-education, financial inclusion, and urban mobility. His strategic leadership has not only helped expand Hitachi’s footprint in the country but has also strengthened collaborations with key stakeholders to align with India’s long-term development objectives.
