Mumbai: Huggies, a baby care brand from Kimberly-Clark, has unveiled its latest campaign introducing the mischievous ‘Geelu Monster’, a character designed to bring to life a common parenting challenge: prolonged wetness on babies’ skin.
The campaign adopts a fresh storytelling approach to reinforce Huggies’ core proposition as India’s Fastest Absorbing Diaper, highlighting the brand’s superior technology and deep understanding of parents’ needs.
Consumer immersions revealed that many mothers were unaware of how long their baby’s skin remained wet before a diaper fully absorbed moisture, often believing their current brand performed equally well. The Geelu Monster was created to make this invisible discomfort visible, symbolizing the wetness that can cause irritation and discomfort for babies.
The campaign demonstrates how Huggies can defeat the Geelu Monster, keeping a baby’s skin dry and comfortable almost instantly. The message is articulated simply and memorably: “Absorbs in 9 seconds.” Consumer testing showed that this claim resonated strongly, with moms easily recalling and repeating it.
