Mumbai: IGP, a global D2C multi-category gifting platform, has announced a meaningful collaboration with Maddock Films for their upcoming film Ikkis, a biopic on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, PVC—one of India’s youngest and most courageous war heroes. The film, slated for release on 25 December, chronicles the extraordinary bravery, conviction, and sacrifice of Lt. Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 21.
As the official gifting partner for Ikkis, IGP has introduced a limited-edition co-branded planter inspired by the values that defined Arun Khetarpal—bravery, resilience, and an unwavering sense of duty. Conceptualised as a living tribute, the planter features a curated artwork motif and includes IGP’s signature self-watering pot paired with a hardy snake plant, symbolising strength, endurance, and continuity.
A deeply significant element anchors this collaboration. Each planter contains soil collected with utmost respect from the Arun Khetarpal memorial at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, where the war hero studied. This gesture ensures that every planter carries a tangible connection to Captain Khetarpal’s enduring legacy and spirit.
Speaking on the collaboration, Tarun Joshi, Founder and CEO, IGP, said, “Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal’s courage and sacrifice remain one of the most powerful reminders of duty and honour in our country’s history. It is a privilege for us to pay tribute to a hero who continues to inspire generations. The opportunity to include soil from his memorial makes this collaboration deeply personal and profoundly meaningful for all of us at IGP. We are pleased to tie up with Maddock Films & being a part of this journey as Ikkis brings his remarkable legacy to the forefront once again.”
The partnership will be activated through multiple touchpoints. As part of the film’s promotional campaign beginning 18 December, the Ikkis team will distribute 400 co-branded planters during on-ground activations, each accompanied by a message card honouring Arun Khetarpal’s story. In addition, the planter will be available as official Ikkis merchandise exclusively on IGP for a limited period.
Agastya Nanda, who portrays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal in the film, shared, “Playing Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal changed me in ways I will carry forever. To see a tribute like this planter – something that grows, something that holds soil from his memorial – feels incredibly special. It’s a reminder of the roots he came from and the courage he stood for. I hope everyone who brings it home feels connected to his journey in their own way.”
Commenting on the collaboration, Sriram Raghavan, Director of Ikkis, said, “Ikkis is not just a film for us; it’s a responsibility. Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal’s story deserves to be told with honesty, emotion, and deep respect. This collaboration with IGP adds a beautiful and symbolic layer to that effort. The planter carrying soil from his memorial allows people to take home a piece of his spirit. We couldn’t think of a more meaningful way to honour his memory.”
Beyond commemoration, the initiative also carries a social purpose. Proceeds from all units sold of the Ikkis planter will be directed towards feeding underprivileged communities through a partnered NGO, extending the tribute into a meaningful act of service and compassion.
Through this collaboration, IGP and Maddock Films aim to honour the legacy of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal while inspiring future generations to carry forward the values of courage, sacrifice, and service that defined his remarkable life.
