Mumbai: With less than two weeks remaining before entries close for the 2026 D&AD New Blood Awards, India has emerged as one of the most engaged markets globally. The country currently ranks sixth worldwide for downloads of entry materials among 84 participating nations, signalling strong early momentum from India’s creative education community.
The surge in participation follows consecutive national wins in 2024 and 2025, reinforcing India’s growing presence on the international New Blood stage. The programme itself continues to see expanding participation across Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia, further intensifying global competition.
The D&AD New Blood Awards connect emerging creatives with live briefs set by leading global brands and agencies, allowing students to tackle real-world challenges. Entries are judged against the same rigorous standards applied to the professional D&AD Awards, offering participants early exposure to international creative benchmarks.
For India’s next generation of talent, the platform offers an opportunity to test ideas against global expectations at a formative stage in their careers, while building credibility within the international creative community.
Beyond accolades, the programme is also delivering measurable career outcomes. Globally, 65% of 2025 winners secured creative roles within five months of the Awards, underlining its role as a viable pathway into both agency and in-house creative careers.
As one of the world’s fastest-growing and most influential advertising markets, India is home to a rising cohort of creatives seeking international visibility. The D&AD New Blood Awards provide a platform to engage with global briefs and have work evaluated by leading industry practitioners worldwide.
Paul Drake, Foundation Director at D&AD, said, “India’s strong engagement this year reflects the ambition of emerging creatives to test their work against global briefs. As participation continues to grow internationally, programmes like the D&AD New Blood Awards offer students an opportunity to gain visibility beyond their local market and connect with the expectations of the global creative industry.”
Entries for the 2026 D&AD New Blood Awards are open until 17th March.
