Crompton partners with Dinesh Karthik to spotlight ‘Every Space Bright & Right’ during ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Mumbai: As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup unfolds and households across India turn into match-viewing arenas, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (CGCEL) has strengthened its ‘Every Space Bright & Right with Crompton Lights’ campaign through a strategic collaboration with former India cricketer, World Cup champion and leading commentator Dinesh Karthik.

Timed with cricket’s biggest global tournament, the association is being brought alive through a digital film and a contextual Instagram reel series rolled out during key match days. Developed in collaboration with Aflog’s creative studio and powered by AI-driven visual storytelling, the campaign draws parallels between the evolution of cricket and the evolution of home lighting. At its core is a clear message — lighting should do more than brighten a room; it should brighten the moment.

Dinesh Karthik, widely regarded as one of cricket’s most composed and astute voices, shares a strong connection with audiences across South India, particularly Tamil Nadu, where cricket commands passionate followership. His reputation for making sharp, timely decisions aligns closely with Crompton’s ‘Bright & Right’ philosophy — choosing lighting solutions tailored to the purpose of each space and occasion.

Through the Instagram reel series, released around key tournament fixtures, Karthik shares match insights while drawing organic parallels to his own bright and right spaces at home. Just as a well-timed on-field decision can shift momentum, the right lighting can transform a space — bringing focus to a living room during match time, clarity to a busy kitchen, or warmth to an outdoor celebration. The series of sub-films also features Karthik announcing the “Crompton Player of the Game” after every Indian match during the tournament, celebrating standout performances while reinforcing Crompton Lighting’s association with moments that truly light up the game.

Speaking about the campaign, Tanmay Prusty, Chief Marketing Officer – Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., said, “At Crompton, we believe lighting plays a defining role in shaping how people experience their homes. With ‘Every Space Bright & Right’, we are encouraging consumers to move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach and think more deliberately about how each space is lit. Dinesh embodies that mindset naturally. He is known for his clarity of thought, composure under pressure, and ability to make the right call at the right moment. A connoisseur of good design and a seeker of authentic partnerships, Dinesh Karthik brings both taste and thoughtful curation to this collaboration. His strong connect across South India, especially during a cricketing event of this scale, makes him an authentic voice for this campaign. Together, we are bringing a simple but important idea into everyday conversations — that the right light can meaningfully enhance how a space feels.”

Speaking about this collaboration, Dinesh Karthik said, “In cricket, the difference often lies in small decisions made at the right time. That mindset applies at home too. Lighting plays a bigger role than we realise — it can change the energy of a room instantly. Whether you’re watching a match, spending time with family, or relaxing at home in the evening, the right light makes that experience better. That’s what I found compelling about this campaign.”

Shot at Karthik’s home, the digital film traces the evolution of both the game and personal spaces. The narrative opens with him reflecting on India’s historic triumph at the inaugural ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2007 and the transformation of the format into today’s high-intensity spectacle. He recalls returning home after that tournament and realising that the lighting in his space did not quite match the energy of the game — prompting a rethink that led him to Crompton lighting solutions.

As the film progresses, each corner of his home mirrors a different rhythm of the day — warm lighting enhances the match-viewing experience, crisp illumination sharpens kitchen functionality, and thoughtfully designed outdoor lighting sets a relaxed evening ambience. The message concludes on a simple but resonant note: as the game evolves, so should the way we light our homes.

With this latest phase of ‘Every Space Bright & Right’, Crompton aims to reinforce its leadership in the lighting category, positioning its solutions not merely as functional products, but as integral elements that elevate how modern India experiences its living spaces — especially during moments that matter most.
