Mumbai: Indian Silk House Agencies celebrated World Saree Day on December 21, 2025 with the launch of a new visual campaign honouring India’s weavers, looms and living handloom traditions. The campaign pays tribute to more than 15,000 artisans across 62 weaving clusters, highlighting the communities behind every saree and reinforcing the cultural significance of India’s handloom heritage.
Released across digital platforms, the film coincides with the unveiling of a teaser for the brand’s upcoming flagship campaign, Weddings of India. Together, the initiatives set the tone for a broader cultural conversation around sarees as symbols of identity, modern bridal expression and celebration.
The visual narrative takes viewers through India’s craft heartlands, from the Banarasi looms of Varanasi and the silk villages of Kanchipuram to Bengal’s Baluchari workshops and the weaving clusters of Uppada and Chanderi. Through intimate visuals of artisans at work, the campaign positions the saree not merely as a garment but as a living expression of India’s cultural continuity. The film concludes by introducing Weddings of India, a forthcoming celebration of bridal traditions, regional craftsmanship and ceremonial sarees that define Indian weddings.

Speaking on the occasion, Darshan Dudhoria, Chief Executive Officer, Indian Silk House Agencies, said, “The most valuable things in life cannot be mass produced. A handloom saree takes weeks, sometimes months, to create. In a world obsessed with speed and scale, these artisans remind us that some things are worth the wait, worth the craft, worth the care. That is why World Saree Day matters, it reminds us that choosing a handloom saree is choosing to keep these traditions alive. Every time a woman wears a saree, she becomes part of a much larger story involving weavers, villages, and traditions that have been passed down through generations. This campaign is our way of making that invisible journey visible.”
Indian Silk House Agencies currently operates 60 stores across 12 states and works directly with over 15,000 artisans through fair partnerships focused on authenticity, traceability and sustainable livelihoods. The brand offers over 15,000 designs spanning India’s major weaving traditions, including Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Uppada Silk, Tussar, Swarnachuri, Baluchari and Kantha. Strengthening its position as India’s ‘saree only’ brand, Indian Silk House Agencies continues to expand its pan-India retail footprint while offering a technology-enabled omni-channel experience through its website, allsilks.com, making authentic handlooms accessible to consumers in India and globally.
