Chennai: Indian Snack House, a clean-label D2C brand delivering authentic South Indian sweets and snacks, has successfully closed its pre-seed funding round, raising ₹2.2 crore. The round was led by Titan Capital, marking a significant step in the Chennai-based startup’s mission to transform how India experiences regional snacking.
Founded in 2023 by Rajakumaran and Anbarasan, Indian Snack House was born out of their personal longing for familiar South Indian flavours after relocating to metro cities. While snacks from various parts of India were widely available, a trusted, branded version of beloved South Indian treats remained missing. That gap inspired the duo to build a modern, clean-label brand focused on quality and authenticity.
Celebrating the rich culinary diversity of South India, Indian Snack House offers classics like Tirunelveli Halwa, Srivilliputhur Palkova, Atreyapuram Pootharekulu, Dharwad Peda, and Kozhikode Halwa. The brand emphasizes “Aspirational Quality” — with no palm oil, preservatives, or artificial colours — making it a go-to choice for conscious consumers seeking traditional flavours with modern trust.
“We are truly thankful to Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal, and the Titan Capital team for trusting our vision and standing behind our team,” said Rajakumaran & Anbarasan, Co-founders of Indian Snack House. “It means a lot to have them as partners, especially with their strong track record of supporting brands from the early days to all the way to IPO. Together, we are working to make Indian Snack House a trusted name for authentic South Indian snacks not just across India, but around the world. We have only just begun, and there’s much more to come.”
The capital infusion will enable Indian Snack House to expand its footprint across more cities and online marketplaces. It also plans to broaden its product range by adding popular snacks from Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
A spokesperson from Titan Capital commented, “We are happy to support Indian Snack House on their journey to build a brand that truly celebrates South Indian snacks. Their focus on authenticity, clean ingredients, and deep understanding of regional flavours sets them apart. We look forward to being part of their growth as they bring these much-loved snacks to more people across India and beyond.”
Already shipping over 1,00,000 packets monthly and receiving thousands of high ratings on platforms like Swiggy and Zomato, Indian Snack House is witnessing strong demand and growing loyalty. As it enters its next growth chapter, the brand is poised to bring the authentic taste of South India to more Indian households and global diaspora communities alike.
