Mumbai: IOS Sports and Entertainment has officially announced the signing of Sandesh Jhingan, captain of the Indian national football team and one of the country’s most accomplished defenders. The 31-year-old footballer from Chandigarh brings over a decade of international experience and an impressive leadership legacy to the IOS athlete roster.
Currently playing for FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL), Jhingan has been a key figure in shaping Indian football since his international debut in 2013. Over the years, he has represented several top ISL clubs, including Kerala Blasters, Mohun Bagan Super Giant, and Chennaiyin FC, and was among the few Indian players to gain European experience during his stint with Croatian side HNK Šibenik.
Widely regarded as one of Asia’s premier defenders, Jhingan has earned accolades such as AIFF Player of the Year (2020–21) and has over 50 international caps for India. He has led the national team in major competitions, including FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the AFC Asian Cup, with his on-field presence defined by aerial dominance, tactical acumen, and inspirational leadership.
“I’m excited to join the IOS Sports and Entertainment family and work with a team that has such an impressive track record with India’s top athletes. Their expertise feels like the perfect assist as I look to amplify my story and connect with more people at a deeper level,” shared the star defender.
“Sandesh represents everything we look for in an athlete – exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and the ability to inspire others,” said Rahul Trehan, COO of IOS Sports and Entertainment. “At IOS, we pride ourselves on managing elite athletes across multiple disciplines, from Olympic medalists to world champions. Sandesh’s addition to our football portfolio strengthens our commitment to supporting India’s sporting heroes across all major sports.”
Through this strategic partnership, IOS will provide full-spectrum management support to Jhingan as he continues his journey on and off the pitch. The collaboration will focus on brand development, community engagement, and exploring opportunities across media, endorsements, and impact-led initiatives.
Jhingan now joins a prestigious list of athletes exclusively managed by IOS, which includes iconic names like Vijender Singh, Anju Bobby George, Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, Manpreet Singh, Aman Sehrawat, and Manika Batra, among many others.
