Mumbai: The Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) is set to spotlight India’s rich musical diversity and empower creators with two landmark initiatives in Goa this December: the IPRS Stage at Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) 2025 and the launch of the IP Hub at the Future School of Performing Arts. Both initiatives reflect IPRS’ mission to celebrate artistic expression and support creators nationwide.
From 15th to 20th December at Azad Maidan, Panaji, the IPRS Stage will showcase regional, folk, traditional, and emerging artists from across India, providing them with a platform to expand their audiences beyond local geographies. The stage opens on 15 December with the Vayali Bamboo Band, known for their handcrafted bamboo instruments. Other highlights include Gulabi Vinyl on 17 December, Beintehaan: A Musical Harvest on 18 December, Rooh-e-Qawwali on 19 December, and the Ladakhi band Dashugs on 20 December.

Rakesh Nigam, CEO of IPRS, said, “This December marks an important milestone for IPRS. With the IPRS Stage at the Serendipity Arts Festival, we celebrate the extraordinary creative spirit of India, and with the launch of the IP Hub, we take a significant step toward empowering creators at the grassroots. Together, these initiatives reinforce our commitment to building an inclusive music ecosystem where every creator has access to information and opportunity.”
The IP Hub at the Future School of Performing Arts is the first in a nationwide network designed to provide creators with guidance on music copyright, royalties, metadata management, and tools to navigate the music ecosystem. An interactive session on 18 December will offer composers, lyricists, independent artists, and emerging musicians practical insights into rights management and creative advancement, featuring IPRS Board Member Mayur Puri.
Nilesh Thomas, Chief Academic Officer, Future School of Performing Arts, Goa, added, “We are delighted to partner with IPRS on the launch of the IP Hub. This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to empower the next generation of creators not only by honing their artistic skills but also by equipping them with essential industry knowledge to advance their musical careers. The IP Hub will become a vital resource for students and local artists striving to build sustainable, future-ready careers.”
Together, the IPRS Stage and the IP Hub reflect IPRS’ dual vision: celebrating India’s artistic brilliance on stage while strengthening the foundation that empowers creators behind the scenes. These initiatives reinforce IPRS’ commitment to ensuring that India’s cultural legacy and creative ambitions continue to flourish.
