Trivandrum: On 21st October 2017, Kerala Chalachitra Academy has announced the list of winners of State Television Awards for the year 2016.
The State Television awards 2016 winners list reveals the fact that most of the shows aired on Malayalam Satellite channel Flowers TV dominates the list with its fiction show Pokkuveyil being declared as best television serial that was directed by KK Rajeev.
While Jayaraj Vijay bagged Best Screenplay Awards, Sruthi Lakshmi as IshaAravind/SruthiAravind bagged Best actress award. ShfanaNissam and Sruthilakshmi shared this category for Sahayathrika serial aired on Surya TV and Second Best actress is ReenaBasheer for the performance in Pokkuveyil serial.
Mambazham season 10 on Kairali TVwas named as Best Television show of 2016 and UppumMulakum, one of the popular TV program airing on Flowers channel is the Best Comedy program.
Best Comedian award bagged by BijuSopanam for his role in this serial, Nishasaranagi won the title for best comedy actress.
Best dubbing artist male awards was bagged bySidharthan for Shayathrika serial, Best dubbing artist female is for Angel Shijoy for ThapaswiniVishudhaAvuprasya.
Best Actor award bagged by GireeshBabu K for Uriyattam, Second best Actor is KalabhavanRahman for Notice Vandi (OruCinimayundakkiyaKadha).
