Federal Bank has appointed KVS Manian as the new Managing Director and CEO, effective September 23, 2024. Manian brings extensive experience and a strong track record in the banking sector.
With over 25 years at Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., he played a crucial role in transforming the bank from a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) into one of India’s top private sector banks. His leadership significantly enhanced the growth and profitability of Kotak’s Corporate, Institutional, and Investment Banking, as well as Wealth Management divisions.
In his previous role, Manian led the Corporate and Institutional sectors, alongside Wealth Management, establishing a high-quality and profitable franchise. His efforts resulted in substantial growth for the Corporate Bank while maintaining excellent asset quality, and he ensured that the Investment Banking and Wealth Management sectors retained their leadership positions.
Manian holds an electrical engineering degree from IIT (BHU) – Varanasi, a postgraduate degree in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, and is a qualified Cost and Works Accountant.
