Mumbai: L’Atelier 1664 has announced a creative association with leading Indian design house Abraham & Thakore, bringing together modern French lifestyle sensibilities and contemporary Indian design.
The collaboration aims to create a series of curated experiences spanning fashion, design and culture, celebrating craftsmanship, creativity and modern expressions of style. Through this partnership, the two brands plan to connect Parisian elegance with Indian design thinking through immersive cultural engagements.
L’Atelier 1664 is a lifestyle platform inspired by 1664 Blanc and reflects its philosophy of “Good Taste with a Twist.” The platform brings together tastemakers across fashion, design and cuisine to craft cultural experiences centred on creativity, individuality and refined living.
Meanwhile, Abraham & Thakore has built a strong reputation over more than three decades for blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. The design house is known for its minimalist elegance, clean silhouettes and thoughtful use of textiles.
Speaking about the association, Partha Sarathi Jha, Vice President, Marketing at Carlsberg India Private Limited, said, “L’Atelier 1664 was created as a platform that brings together emerging tastes, creative styles and contemporary culture trends. Our association with Abraham & Thakore brings together modern French style with Indian design, and we look forward to creating experiences that celebrate craftsmanship, individuality and creative expression.”
The designer duo David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore added, “This association with L’Atelier 1664 reflects a meeting of sensibilities – French art de vivre and the richness of Indian craftsmanship. It is a fusion of ideas that celebrates heritage, creativity, and a contemporary way of living.”
The alliance is envisioned as a cultural exchange rather than a conventional brand collaboration, blending French modernity with Indian craftsmanship and design philosophy.
Marking the beginning of the partnership, the collaboration will extend beyond the runway to include a series of curated events and in-store engagements across India in the coming months.
