Mumbai: Streaming giant Netflix has appointed Magali Huot as Director of Games Marketing, Mainstream Games, further strengthening its push into the interactive entertainment and gaming ecosystem.
Huot announced the development in a LinkedIn post, expressing enthusiasm about joining the company at a time when entertainment is increasingly becoming participatory and interactive.
Sharing her excitement, Huot said that entertainment today “isn’t passive anymore.” She noted that it now exists across multiple environments — from living rooms and cloud platforms to the hands of millions of players who seek deeper engagement, connection, and immersive experiences within the worlds they enjoy.
At Netflix, Huot will work closely with Dan Sutton and the broader games team to drive marketing initiatives for the platform’s mainstream gaming portfolio.
Prior to joining Netflix, Huot served as Senior Vice President, Global Gaming Strategy at dentsu, where she led strategic initiatives focused on gaming and interactive entertainment.
She brings with her extensive experience across the media, technology, and entertainment sectors, having previously worked with major companies including YouTube and Warner Bros..
Her appointment comes as Netflix continues to deepen its investment in gaming, positioning interactive content as a key pillar of its broader entertainment strategy.
