Malaysia Airlines extends India Mall Activation Tour to Bengaluru

Mumbai: Malaysia Airlines strengthened its presence in South India with a vibrant three-day showcase at Phoenix Mall of Asia, Bangalore, held from 5 to 7 December 2025. Part of its multi-city India Mall Activation Tour, the Bangalore leg followed successful engagements in Mumbai and Hyderabad, reaffirming India as one of Malaysia Airlines’ fastest-growing international markets.

The tour is designed to bring Malaysian Hospitality directly to Indian travellers while highlighting the airline’s expanding connectivity, diverse destinations, and collaborations with tourism partners. The Bangalore showcase drew families, young travellers, aviation enthusiasts, and key travel partners such as Akbar Holidays, Riya Tours & Travels, SOTC, and Thomas Cook, creating a rich ecosystem of curated holiday packages and travel solutions.

Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airline Business, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said, “The continued enthusiasm we have seen across the tour reflects the growing appetite among Indian travellers for international experiences and seamless connectivity. Bangalore is a key market for us, and through this activation, we connected directly with travellers and shared what makes Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines truly special. We look forward to welcoming more guests on board and providing them with our signature Malaysian Hospitality.”

The Bangalore edition introduced refreshed programme elements tailored to the city’s family-driven audience. Children enthusiastically participated in the LEGOLAND® Malaysia Speed Building Challenge, assembling festive LEGO Santas in timed sessions. Football fans engaged with the Manchester United zone, featuring interactive challenges and exclusive photo opportunities that underscored Malaysia Airlines’ role as the Official Commercial Airline Partner of the club.

The activation also highlighted Malaysia Airlines’ growing network collaborations. Taiwan Tourism joined the event to promote Taiwan as a vibrant, culturally rich, and accessible destination for Indian travellers. With Malaysia Airlines’ existing route to Taiwan, visitors explored cultural, culinary, and experiential travel opportunities, positioning the destination as an exciting choice for upcoming holidays.

The final chapters of the India Mall Activation Tour will take place in:

  • Ambience Mall, Gurugram, Delhi (12–14 December 2025)
  • South City Mall, Kolkata (19–21 December 2025)

Across both cities, visitors can expect thoughtfully curated experiences designed to spark wanderlust—making it the perfect moment to plan meaningful journeys with Malaysia Airlines as the new year approaches.
