Mumbai: ZEE5 has announced that the much-anticipated Malayalam mystery-comedy-thriller, ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’, will premiere on 19th December 2025. The film marks acclaimed director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Malayalam debut and is produced by Mammootty Kampany, featuring Mammootty in a distinctive lead role.
The story follows Dominic (Mammootty), a former police officer turned private detective, who takes on a seemingly simple case of a misplaced ladies’ purse, only to uncover a web of secrets, identities, and unexpected twists alongside his aide Vignesh (Gokul Suresh).
The ensemble cast includes Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhat, Viji Venkatesh, Siddique, Vineeth, and Vijay Babu, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative.
Gautham Menon said, “Making Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse have been a dream come true, it marks my first venture into Malayalam cinema. This film is built around a grounded, relatable hero, not a larger-than-life icon. We completed it in just 45 days, a testament to the energy, dedication and belief of every cast and crew member who joined hands for this story. The film promises humour, suspense, and emotional layers, and streams exclusively on ZEE5 from 19th December 2025.
