Mumbai: Marico Limited has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 60% stake in Cosmix Wellness Private Limited, the parent company of digital-first functional wellness brand Cosmix, at an equity valuation of approximately ₹375 crore. The founders will retain the remaining stake and continue to lead the business.
Founded in 2019 by husband-wife duo Vibha Harish and Soorya Jagadish, Cosmix has built a strong presence in India’s fast-growing plant-based and functional nutrition space. The brand’s portfolio includes plant-based protein powders, fermented yeast protein powders, functional superfood blends, and recently introduced functional foods such as plant-protein pancake mixes and plant-protein bars.
Bootstrapped and profitable since inception, Cosmix has scaled to around ₹100 crore ARR over the last six months (L6M) while maintaining a sustainable high-teen EBITDA margin profile. The brand is known for its vegan, gut-friendly formulations and a holistic, root-cause approach to wellness, supported by sustainable sourcing practices.
Cosmix has seen strong traction through its direct-to-consumer platform, recording top-quartile repeat purchase rates, customer lifetime value, and brand recall metrics. It also holds the #1 bestseller position in the plant protein category across leading e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, reinforcing its leadership in the segment.
Going forward, Cosmix aims to accelerate profitable growth, expand into adjacent wellness and nutraceutical categories through strategic product launches, strengthen its multi-channel distribution, and continue building a differentiated premium brand anchored in innovation.
