Mumbai: Miraj Cinemas has officially announced the appointment of Bhuvanesh Mendiratta as its new Managing Director. Mendiratta steps into the role following the departure of Amit Sharma, who led the company with distinction for over 14 years and is now moving on to explore new opportunities.
A long-standing member of the Miraj Cinemas leadership team, Mendiratta has been instrumental in the company’s operational success, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer. With more than two decades of experience in the entertainment and hospitality industries, his resume includes key leadership roles at PVR and Cinemax before joining Miraj. He has overseen various functions including operations, food & beverage, marketing, film programming, and internal audits.
An alumnus of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) with a degree in Hospitality and Administration, Mendiratta also holds an Executive MBA in Hospitality Management.

With this leadership transition, Miraj Cinemas is poised for accelerated expansion and technological advancement. The company currently operates 235 screens across 70 locations in 48 cities, and under Mendiratta’s direction, aims to scale up its national footprint while enhancing the overall cinematic experience for Indian audiences.
