Udit Sharma has been appointed as Chief Revenue Officer by Mohalla Tech for its social media platforms Moj, Sharechat and Takatak. Prior to this he was Head of Sales at Disney+ Hotstar for a stint of over five years.
Sharma mentioned about his new appointment on his LinkedIn post that read, “For the last 5 years – I had the front-seat view of a platform that evolved from being just another streaming player to India’s most loved entertainment provider. Disney+ Hotstar – Thanks for an amazing journey! As for my next adventure, I am super stoked to be joining Ankush Sachdeva and Ajit Varghese at ShareChat/Moj and getting the opportunity to shape the local language content revolution in India.”
An alumnus of The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, he is an experienced business leader with a demonstrated history of working in Media, Mobile payments/Fintech and Consumer Electronics.
He was also associated with various organisations namely, Freecharge as AVP, Zomato as VP, Samsung Electronics as Business Development Manager, Canesta as Business Development Intern and ST Microelectronics as IC Design Engineer.
