Mumbai: Moneycontrol consolidated its leadership in India’s business and financial news space in January 2026, clocking the highest number of unique visitors in this category, as per global audience measurement agency Comscore.
With a total digital population of 63.38 million unique visitors, Moneycontrol drew more than twice the audience of The Economic Times, which recorded 30.61 million.
In fact, Moneycontrol attracted more unique users than its next two media rivals combined in business news.
Moneycontrol’s lead over ET extended to all other key digital metrics. Comscore data shows that Moneycontrol logged 249.25 million page views in January, nearly three times The Economic Times’ 97.18 million. The data points to strong user interaction across Moneycontrol’s content offerings.
Comscore data on engagement, as measured by time spent by readers, told an even stronger story. Readers spent 581.29 million minutes on Moneycontrol during the month, more than five times the 111.90 million minutes recorded by The Economic Times.

“The latest numbers reflect the deep trust readers have placed in the quality of our content, the depth of our coverage of the stock markets and the cutting-edge analytical tools we provide to users,”said Nalin Mehta, Managing Editor, Moneycontrol. “In an increasingly fluid global environment, readers are looking for clarity and we remain sharply focused on providing credible, accurate and timely business information.”
Comscore’s January rankings reaffirm Moneycontrol’s leadership in India’s financial news space once again, pointing to its sustained lead in both reach and engagement.
