Bengaluru: In a groundbreaking move in women’s healthcare marketing, Motherhood Hospitals, a network of women and children’s hospitals, has launched an AI-led advertisement film to promote Motherhood ONE, India’s first AI-powered, subscription-based holistic pregnancy care app.
Marking a creative first in Indian healthcare communication, the ad film is entirely created using AI-generated characters and environments—offering a satirical yet insightful take on the everyday barrage of unsolicited advice that pregnant women face. The ad has already crossed 30,000+ organic views across digital platforms, highlighting its strong early resonance.
The film humorously portrays a lineup of well-meaning but misinformed characters — neighbours, milkmen, salon staff, and security guards — dishing out unscientific pregnancy tips. From recommending saffron milk for a fair baby to bizarre tricks for a “normal” delivery, the ad calls out the widely prevalent but misleading myths surrounding pregnancy care.
“For the first time in India, mothers can access this level of personalised care through Motherhood Hospitals, setting a new standard in maternal care. Overall, we wanted the ad film to convey the message that by accessing expert medical advice on their mobile device, Motherhood One empowers mothers to navigate their pregnancy journey with confidence and ease. Apart from myth busting on pregnancy, the ad film captures how the app helps women stay on top of health milestones, building an emotional connection with the baby, or receiving real-time medical advice,” said Vijayarathna Venkatraman, CEO, Motherhood Hospitals.
“As Indians, we’re all so wonderfully skilled at doling out advice, most of it unsolicited. We’re all ‘experts’, regardless of whether we’re qualified to speak on the subject or not. Our job, as an agency, was to pitch the Motherhood One app as the real expert – and to do that in a fun and engaging way,” added Robbie Anthoney, Founder of Phantom, the creative agency behind the campaign.
At its core, the film communicates a simple but powerful message: when it comes to pregnancy, trust medical experts, not hearsay. Featuring AI avatars and produced using Claymation, a rarely used visual technique in Indian healthcare advertising, the film delivers exaggerated, humorous scenes that grab attention while grounding the message in empathy and relevance.
The Motherhood ONE app provides expectant mothers with access to certified gynaecologists, real-time symptom tracking, medication reminders, a pregnancy journal, and expert guidance — all at their fingertips.
The ad campaign is being rolled out extensively across social media, digital influencer networks, and parenting communities. Four different ad films, each representing a different character and communication style, are being promoted across platforms. A strong influencer marketing push is planned in the coming months.
Through this tech-forward, emotion-driven campaign, Motherhood Hospitals aims to redefine how pregnancy care is communicated — blending AI, creativity, and clinical credibility to support women on one of the most important journeys of their lives.
