Mumbai: House of Biryan (HOB), a tech-enabled cloud kitchen brand, has announced that cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni has expanded his association with the company, transitioning from strategic investor to official brand ambassador.
The move marks a significant evolution in the partnership, which began in early 2025 when Dhoni joined the company’s cap table, drawn by its technology-driven approach to delivering consistency and quality in one of India’s most iconic dishes. Over time, his growing confidence in the founders’ operational discipline and focus on scalable systems has led to a deeper involvement with the brand.
House of Biryan has rapidly expanded from a single kitchen to a multi-city presence across Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai, while maintaining product consistency through its tech-enabled processes. The brand’s “Meri Wali Biryani” model, which allows consumers to customise their meals, has contributed to a strong repeat customer rate and growing consumer loyalty.
“Consistency under pressure comes from strong processes. HOB has built a model where quality doesn’t depend on the outlet or the time of day. That’s very similar to how high-performing teams operate in sport.” Says Mahindra Singh Dhoni
The company is now targeting ₹500 crore in revenue over the next four to five years, supported by its expansion strategy and focus on process-driven scalability. Having served over 10 million biryanis, HOB continues to emphasise quality and standardisation as it scales operations across geographies.
Its international foray into Dubai in 2025 marks a strategic step toward global expansion, positioning biryani as a scalable comfort food category alongside global staples.
HOB’s investor base includes a mix of celebrity and institutional backers such as Shardul Thakur, Rannvijay Singha, and Amol Parashar, along with strategic investors like Al Siraj Holdings and Angel Star Ventures.
Dhoni’s expanded role comes at a key growth inflection point and is expected to accelerate brand recall, strengthen franchise and partnership conversations, support international expansion, and reinforce the company’s positioning as a performance-led food-tech brand.
“MS Dhoni represents everything we stand for—discipline, consistency, and performance at scale. His journey with HOB began as an investor who challenged our systems and numbers. His decision to step in as brand ambassador validates the strength of our operating model and our global vision for biryani.” Says the quote from co-founders
With this development, House of Biryan aims to further scale its presence and establish itself as a strong contender in the global food-tech and cloud kitchen ecosystem.
