New Delhi: In a heartfelt celebration of patriotism and musical tribute to the nation’s heroes, MY FM, the radio arm of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has launched ‘Sur Salute’—a unique initiative dedicated to honouring the courage and dedication of India’s armed forces through the power of music. The campaign was inaugurated by Honourable Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, who praised the effort for its strong emotional and cultural resonance.
Lauding MY FM’s endeavour, Rajnath Singh said the initiative is a meaningful way to keep the spirit of patriotism high. In a stirring moment during the launch, the Defence Minister also sang a few lines of the patriotic song “Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyara Hai”, offering his own heartfelt tribute to the armed forces.
He further acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army and credited them for the success of Operation Sindoor, calling it “the evidence of India’s zero-tolerance against terrorism.”
The ‘Sur Salute’ initiative is centred around a Tiranga tour, with MY FM RJs carrying the Indian flag across multiple cities, each city welcoming the flag with grand musical processions and patriotic bands. The journey will culminate in New Delhi, where the flag, after travelling through all MY FM markets, will be ceremoniously hoisted at the National War Memorial.
Listeners can also tune in to MY FM to hear gripping, real-life stories of bravery and sacrifice, narrated by war veterans—bringing the nation closer to the lives and legacies of those who serve.
Through this initiative, MY FM continues its legacy of socially resonant programming, creating a nationwide movement that unites music, memory, and national pride.
