New Delhi: MY FM, the radio division of Dainik Bhaskar Group, has announced a major expansion with the addition of 14 new cities to its network. The new licenses were secured in the recently concluded Batch III Phase III auction conducted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), where MY FM emerged as the network with the highest number of cities allotted. With this expansion, MY FM grows from a 30 to 44-station network.
The new stations will cover strategic markets across multiple states: Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Pali, Sikar, and Alwar in Rajasthan; Bhuj, Gandhidham, and Daman in Gujarat and the Union Territory; Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, and Ambala in Haryana; and Rewa and Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. These stations are expected to begin broadcasting by the end of this year.
Radio continues to be a trusted medium for information, entertainment, and emergency communication, with its popularity among younger audiences steadily growing. Since its launch in 2006, MY FM has adopted a bottom-up strategy, building its presence across Tier II and III cities in eight states. The network leverages the Bhaskar Group’s deep understanding of local markets to deliver content that resonates with regional audiences.
Staying true to its brand ethos, ‘Chalo Achcha Sunte Hain’, MY FM has consistently built strong emotional connections with its listeners by curating offerings tailored to local tastes and preferences. With its latest expansion, MY FM further strengthens its position as a leading player in India’s FM radio landscape.
