Mumbai: NDTV has announced the appointment of Sucherita Kukreti as Senior Executive Editor & Prime Time Anchor, NDTV India, marking a significant addition to its editorial leadership as the network continues to strengthen its prime-time slate.
A highly respected bilingual journalist, Sucherita brings over two decades of experience in television journalism, known for her clarity, composure, and balanced perspective. She has helmed leading Hindi debates and English prime-time shows, earning recognition for her ability to simplify complex issues and connect deeply with diverse audiences.
Her career began at India TV, where her credibility and on-ground reporting quickly earned her prominence. In 2019, she joined Republic Bharat for her second stint, anchoring the flagship debate show Mahabharat and emerging as one of the most recognisable faces in Hindi television news.
Her bilingual fluency — the ability to transition seamlessly between Hindi and English — has set her apart as one of the few anchors commanding a strong presence across both language audiences.
An alumna of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, with a degree in English Literature, Sucherita has been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award for excellence in journalism.
Speaking about her new role, Sucherita Kukreti said, “Joining NDTV India feels like a return to meaningful journalism. I am excited to be part of a legacy that values integrity, depth, and spirited discussions.”

Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, added, “Sucherita represents the rigour and versatility that NDTV stands for. Her credibility, sharp journalistic instincts, and command over both Hindi and English will add great strength to our prime-time offering.”
As NDTV India enters a new phase of transformation, Sucherita’s appointment reinforces the network’s commitment to credible, purpose-driven journalism — rooted in integrity, powered by clarity, and reflective of a new India.
