New Delhi: As the nation gears up to celebrate a milestone this 15th August, News18 India will showcase special programming to commemorate India’s 75th Independence Day.
Under the umbrella programming 75 Saal Bemisaal, News18 India will telecast a bouquet of shows. One of the country’s most popular anchor, Prateek Trivedi, will host a special show from Srinagar featuring valiant BSF soldiers, saluting their spirit of bravery and nationalism. Adding a flavour of humour to the celebrations, the channel will bring together a show featuring renowned poets like Pratap Fauzdar, Sudeep Bhola, Gaurav Chauhan and Hemant Pandey.
Highlighting the history of and the progress made in over seven decades, the channel will also take the viewers on a unique journey to the decks of INS Vikrant – the country’s first indigenous aircraft carrier.
Continuing with its legacy of bringing thought-provoking discourse, News18 India will host critically acclaimed actor Ashutosh Rana, lyricist Manoj Muntashir & author-historian Vikram Sampat. Anchored by renowned News18 anchor & editor Amish Devgan, this show will have these personalities discuss and share their views about today’s youth and their issues, nationalism in the current context and unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle.
Along with these special shows, News18 India will also broadcast live coverage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech from the historical Red Fort.
