Mumbai: News18’s flagship women empowerment platform, SheShakti, returns with a powerful new edition in 2025, expanding regionally for the first time. Presented by Lions Clubs International, the initiative launches its inaugural Mumbai chapter on July 31, setting the tone for the grand national celebration in Delhi on August 21.
With the theme “From Breaking Barriers to Building Bharat,” the third edition of SheShakti will spotlight the extraordinary contributions of women from Maharashtra who are shaping a stronger, more inclusive India through innovation, leadership, and resilience.
The summit brings together trailblazing women from business, government, sports, arts, and media, alongside global dignitaries. Key attendees include Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Sujata Saunik, IAS (Retd.), Former Chief Secretary, Maharashtra; Ashwini Bhide, Principal Secretary to the CM and MD, Mumbai Metro; and Sunaina Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat. Adding an international perspective will be H.E. Ambassador Chavanart Thangsumphant (Thailand) and Mateja Vodeb Ghosh (Slovenia).
From the business world, leaders like Naiyya Saggi (Edition), Priyanka Salot (The Sleep Company), Harsha Mundhada (Inflexor Ventures), Priti Rathi Gupta (LXME), and Laxmi Iyer (Bajaj Finserv) will share insights. The summit will also see participation from Dr. Neerja Birla, Roshi Jain, Chitralekha Patil, and cultural icons like Nimrat Kaur, Renuka Shahane, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and RJ Malishka.
