Chennai: News7 Tamil’s Nalam Viruthugal – The first Health Awards in the Tamil Television industry was held at The Taj Coromandel, Chennai on Saturday, May 11th, in a grand manner.The award was conceptualized & executed by Cornerstone for NEWS 7 Tamil. Godrej Cinthol Original was the presenting sponsor of the event.
News 7 Tamil’s Nalam Virudhugal honoured 25 healthcare professionals in various categories for their outstanding contribution in their respective healthcare sector.
The star studded event honoured the stalwarts in healthcare industry like DR.KM Cherian, Dr.S.Vittal & Dr.V.Shantha.
Emotions were high when the channel recognised the government and public sector’s contributions too. Hospitals like Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital, Govt Hospital Omandurar, Kilpauk medical college, Stanley Hospitals were also honoured. Nandivaram primary health centre was recognised as model PHC & 108 for their service across TN in critical care facility.
The event felicitated almost all sectors including the private hospitals like SIMS, Apollo, Rela & Sri Ramachandra Multi-speciality hospital.
The contributions of the health care professionals especially in the rural areas, alternative therapies, women wellness and professionals working for the challenged & victims were also honoured.
The gala event was a unique celebration for the health care industry which was well attended by renowned healthcare professionals, top politicians and the bureaucrats of Tamil Nadu.
