New Delhi: Procter & Gamble (P&G) has appointed Shailesh Jejurikar as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Jejurikar, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO), will succeed Jon Moeller in the role.
As COO, Jejurikar has held P&L responsibility for P&G’s Enterprise Markets, spanning Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has also led critical global functions including Information Technology, Global Business Services, Sales, Market Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and New Business.
Jejurikar’s association with P&G dates back to 1989, when he joined as Assistant Brand Manager for Personal Health Care in India. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, managing key categories such as Skin Care and Personal Cleansing, before taking on larger roles across international markets in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Prior to becoming COO, Jejurikar was the Chief Executive Officer of P&G’s Fabric & Home Care division, the company’s largest business sector. This portfolio includes some of P&G’s most iconic brands — Tide, Ariel, Downy, Gain, Febreze, Swiffer — and represents about one-third of the company’s total sales and net earnings.
Between 2016 and 2021, he also served as the executive sponsor for global sustainability, driving P&G’s environmental and social initiatives worldwide.
With over three decades of global experience across categories and geographies, Jejurikar is poised to lead P&G into its next chapter of innovation, consumer-centric growth, and responsible leadership.
