New Delhi: The Press Trust of India(PTI) and the Russian news agency Tass today signed an agreement envisaging cooperation on exchange of news.
Documents in this regard were exchanged between PTI’s Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) M K Razdan and Tass Director General Sergey Mikhaylov in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin after summit talks between the two leaders at Hyderabad House.
The agreement also envisages exchange of expertise and technical assistance through contacts between editorial staff, experts, journalists, press photographers and senior managers between the two news agencies as part of their professional interaction.
Under the pact, the news agencies of the two countries will guarantee the exchange of news relevant to their domains of activity through the Internet.
PTI and TASS will also provide all possible facilities to their respective correspondents in each country and to any of their cadres who are on press assignments.
