Mumbai: &Privé HD is all set to bring the Indian television premiere of the highly acclaimed movie, ‘Carol’ on 3rd December at 1:00pm and 9:00pm. The film is directed by Todd Haynes and stars two-time Academy award winner, Cate Blanchet and Rooney Mara in pivotal roles.
The romantic period drama is based on the 1952 romance novel, The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith and follows the story of a scandalous romance between Therese (Mara), a young photographer and Carol (Blanchet), an older woman going through a divorce. Set in 1950’s New York, the unconventional romance blooms from a chance meeting between the two at a department store, which turns into a forbidden love.
Mara and Blanchet deliver poignant performances and make for an unforgettable couple in this beautiful film about longing, loss and the confusion and wonder of love.
