Mumbai: Global sports company PUMA has officially unveiled the PUMA Orbita Ultimate PL, the new official match ball for the Premier League, kicking off an exciting new chapter in football with the launch of the ‘Have a Ball’ campaign.
Inspired by football’s most brilliant moments and designed to spark many more, the new match ball will be featured across pitches, parks, and playgrounds around the world, ahead of the 2025/26 season. The campaign, ‘Have a Ball’, encourages players at all levels to rediscover the sheer joy, instinct, and freedom of simply having the ball at their feet—whether on the professional pitch or a backyard kickabout.

Richard Teyssier, Vice President Brand & Marketing – PUMA said, “By emphasizing the emotional and liberating aspects of playing football, the ‘Have a Ball’ campaign highlights how the simple act of just having the ball can bring immense joy and excitement. On average, a professional footballer has control of the ball for around 109 seconds every game (FIFA, 2022), so when you have the ball at your feet you need to make it count and create moments that make a difference on the pitch. We are proud to have some of the best players in the world creating magic moments on the pitch using the new ball. PUMA is committed to elite performance and product, something evident as a result of our new partnership.”

Will Brass, Chief Commercial Officer of the Premier League, added, “The launch of the new ball, which will be seen in play for the first time during the Premier League Summer Series, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We are thrilled to welcome PUMA as a key partner in our efforts to enhance the Premier League, both on and off the pitch. We can’t wait to see the ball in action, delivering unforgettable goals and moments for players and fans alike.”
The PUMA Orbita Ultimate PL features twelve evenly sized panels to ensure precise weight distribution and perfect balance. High-frequency moulding enhances durability, with deeper seams to improve aerodynamics and provide a soft touch—ensuring high performance in any playing condition.
The Premier League Summer Series in the USA this July will mark the ball’s on-pitch debut, with six matches across three cities and a series of community coaching programs designed to grow grassroots football. Additionally, PUMA and the Premier League will collaborate on initiatives like Premier League Kicks, No Room For Racism, and programs supporting girls’ and women’s football.
The official match ball is available starting June 3rd on PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and select global retailers.
