QYOU, Bollywood Hungama to launch music and entertainment CTV channel

Free ad-supported channel ‘BH Live TV Powered by QYOU Media’ will launch in Q4 of 2023.

QYOU, Bollywood Hungama to launch music and entertainment CTV channel

QYOU Media India has entered into a partnership with Bollywood Hungama to launch a Connected TV channel in Q4 2023 called BH Live TV Powered by QYOU Media.

The new channel marks the addition of Bollywood to QYOU Media India’s multi-genre free ad-supported (FAST) channels.

Bollywood Hungama is a portal on the Hindi film industry, which will power news and gossip from Bollywood and the Indian entertainment business on the channel.

BH Live TV Powered by QYOU Media will be available on the Q Play+ app along with Connected TV platforms, including Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV, Xiaomi, TCL and One Plus. It will offer ‘the best of Bollywood music and movies’.

The India CTV (Smart TV) market has tripled in size in the last 18 months with homes using CTV expected to grow to 60 million by 2025, informed an official statement. The CTV industry is expected to dominate television viewership and ad revenue growth going forward, and over 90 pc of all televisions sold in India last year were Smart TVs, it added.

QYOU Media operates in India and the United States producing and distributing content created by social media and digital content creators. Besides flagship Q TV, the company operates The Q Kahaniyan, Q GameX, Q Marathi and Sadhguru TV on Connected TV.
