Mumbai : Radio Mirchi announced association with spiritual guru Krishna Das for his upcoming India Tour, in which it will live stream his concert on their digital platform Mirchi Devraag between 7 PM – 9 PM on Saturday. Mirch Devraag is Radio Mirchi’s online radio station dedicated to devotional songs and spirituality.
Commenting on the association, Rahul Balyan, EVP, Head – Digital Initiatives at Radio Mirchi, said, “Krishna Das is world’s leading spiritual guru. Through this association, we aim to reach out to all his devoted listeners and give them an opportunity to connect with their spiritual guru and to experience Devraag radio station too. Our online radio stations, which we stream on Gaana platform, are the biggest in India already, and are allowing us to experiment with many new formats and niches of music that we couldn’t do on traditional radio.”
Krishna Das is known for his performances of Hindu devotional music. He has sold over 300,000 records. His music is traditional with a generous touch of modern instrumentation. He has taken the call-and-response chanting out of yoga centres and into concert halls. His album Live Ananda was nominated for a Grammy in the Best New Age album category
