Mumbai: Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited (RSBVL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, and Surrey County Cricket Club today announced a landmark partnership in the Oval Invincibles franchise in The Hundred. Following the completion of the deal, Surrey and RSBVL will hold 51% and 49% stakes respectively, taking ownership of the franchise from the England and Wales Cricket Board. Beginning 2026, both the men’s and women’s teams will compete under their new identity — MI London.
The Oval Invincibles have been the standout performers in The Hundred, securing five titles in five years. The women’s team clinched consecutive trophies in the first two seasons, while the men’s team dominated with three straight championship wins from 2023 to 2025, earning global recognition as one of the most formidable franchise cricket units.
The team’s success has been driven by Surrey’s homegrown talents, including Sam and Tom Curran, Will Jacks, and Alice Capsey, as well as international stars like Marizanne Kapp, Rashid Khan, and Adam Zampa.
Mumbai Indians, one of the most successful global cricket franchises, brings extensive experience in high-performance team building, talent development, and fan engagement. With the addition of MI London, the MI Family now spans seven teams across five countries and four continents, underscoring its mission to nurture talent and expand cricket’s global footprint.
Over the past 17 years, MI teams have collectively won 13 league titles worldwide, including five IPL trophies, two Women’s Premier League titles, two Major League Cricket championships, two Champions League T20 titles, and one title each in ILT20 (MI Emirates, 2024) and SA20 (MI Cape Town, 2025).
