Mumbai: RG Pictures, led by seasoned director, writer, and producer Ravindra Gautam, is strengthening its footprint in India’s rapidly growing micro-drama segment, scaling high-volume, performance-driven short-form content for leading digital platforms. The production house is also collaborating with actor-producer Ankur Nayyar to build a focused slate of impactful micro-dramas.
Leveraging over two decades of storytelling experience across television, film, and OTT, Gautam has successfully translated long-form narrative depth into the fast-paced micro-drama format. Under his creative leadership, RG Pictures has produced over 5,000 hours of micro-drama content in just three months, balancing speed, scale, and emotional resonance.

Speaking about the format, Ravindra Gautam, Founder & Creative Producer, RG Pictures, said, “Micro-dramas are a unique storytelling challenge, they demand absolute clarity and precision. With such limited screen time, every moment must carry emotional weight, resonate with the audience, and leave a lasting impact. At RG Pictures, we bring the same creative discipline to short-form content as we do to long-format cinema and television, crafting strong scripts, guiding focused performances, and ensuring authentic emotion in every frame. It’s about creating stories that engage, entertain, and connect deeply, even in just a few minutes.”
As part of its short-form expansion, RG Pictures is partnering with Ankur Nayyar to develop performance-led narratives supported by efficient and scalable production models. The company has already delivered a slate of micro-dramas for Kuku TV, including Risky Ishq, The Mysterious Master Chef, The Final Boss, and Mafia Mohabbat, designed to captivate the platform’s growing digital audience.
Gautam is known for landmark television shows such as Kasautii Zindagii Kay (Season 1), Pavitra Rishta, Uttaran, and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, along with acclaimed projects like Maharani Season 2 and Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi.
