Mumbai: Samsung Electronics and Netflix have teamed up to mark the closing chapter of Stranger Things, offering fans a new way to celebrate the iconic series that has shaped global pop culture for nearly a decade. Beginning January 12, Samsung Galaxy users across 186 countries can download an exclusive Stranger Things-themed interface and wallpapers via the Galaxy Store, available at no additional cost for a limited time to users who download or launch the Netflix app.
Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things has been one of Netflix’s most influential original titles, playing a key role in the platform’s rise as a global entertainment leader. Following the release of Season 5, Part 1 on November 27, 2025, the series ranked No. 1 in 91 countries and recorded 59.6 million views in its first five days, marking the strongest opening performance for an English-language series on Netflix. It also became the first series in Netflix history to place all five seasons in the Global Top 10 simultaneously, holding that position for five consecutive weeks. All episodes from the final season are now streaming globally on Netflix.
Building on this momentum, Samsung’s exclusive Galaxy content inspired by Season 5 will be available from January 12 through February 22. The collection features a dedicated theme and five wallpapers showcasing live-action characters and settings from the show, including the town of Hawkins and the eerie Upside Down. Designed to reflect the distinctive atmosphere of the series, the visuals allow fans to integrate elements of Stranger Things into their everyday digital experience.
The collaboration also underscores the long-standing partnership between Samsung and Netflix, which has consistently focused on celebrating premium storytelling through immersive digital experiences. The latest initiative follows their recent partnership offering special themes for the global hit film KPop Demon Hunters and builds on earlier collaborations around the launch of Stranger Things Season 4.
Through this initiative, Samsung and Netflix continue to deepen fan engagement by blending entertainment, technology, and cultural moments, offering Galaxy users a unique way to commemorate one of streaming’s most defining series.
