Mumbai: JioHotstar is set to premiere Sarvam Maya, a horror-comedy starring Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese, from January 30. Marking the reunion of the popular actor duo after a brief hiatus, the film is expected to add fresh momentum to the platform’s regional content slate.
Written and directed by Akhil Sathyan, Sarvam Maya is produced by Ajayya Kumar and Rajeev Menon under the banner of Firefly Films. Nivin Pauly essays the role of Prabhendu, a guitarist in a music troupe, whose life takes a series of amusing and unusual turns when, under certain circumstances, he returns to his ancestral home as “Indu.”
The film features an ensemble cast including Aju Varghese, Riya Shibu, Janardhanan, Raghunath Paleri, Madhu Wariar, Preity Mukhundhan, Althaf Salim, among others.
Cinematography is by Sharan Velayudhan, with editing handled by Akhil Sathyan and Ratin Radhakrishnan. The music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
Strengthening JioHotstar’s multilingual offering, Sarvam Maya will stream in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi. Blending humour with supernatural elements, the film promises an entertaining watch for a wide, pan-India audience when it begins streaming exclusively on JioHotstar from January 30.
