Mumbai: Shubhranshu Singh, the Global Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Motors’ Commercial Vehicles division, has officially stepped down from his role, marking the end of a notable chapter at one of India’s most iconic automotive brands.
Singh joined Tata Motors on October 14, 2021, as Vice President – Marketing for Domestic and International Business, CVBU. Over nearly four years, he played a pivotal role in reshaping the brand’s marketing strategy, strengthening its global presence, and driving innovation across the commercial vehicles portfolio.
Prior to Tata Motors, Singh held the position of Global Head of Marketing at Royal Enfield, where he was instrumental in building a globally resonant brand identity for the legacy motorcycle marque. His extensive career, spanning more than two decades, reflects a rich tapestry of experience across leading companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Diageo India, and Visa Inc., where he led transformative marketing mandates.
Earlier in his career, Singh also served as Executive Vice President & Head of Marketing at Star India, where he helmed the marketing and communications for the network’s entire sports broadcasting portfolio, playing a key role in expanding viewership and brand engagement.
An alumnus of BIT Ranchi with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Singh also holds a Master’s in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
Singh’s contribution to the global marketing landscape was spotlighted in June 2025, when he was named among Forbes’ “World’s Most Influential CMOs” at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The accolade underscored his unique ability to blend cultural fluency with strategic brand-building.
In addition to his professional milestones, Singh has recently been appointed to the inaugural Board of Directors for the Effie LIONS Foundation — a global initiative aimed at advancing diverse and inclusive marketing leadership.
