New Delhi: In a landmark initiative aimed at shaping the future of India’s sports ecosystem, Sportzprix, an Indian platform for grassroots sports education and talent development, has announced a strategic partnership with the UAX Rafa Nadal University School, Madrid — an institution mentored by global tennis icon Rafael Nadal.
The collaboration will launch a globally recognized Master’s program in Digital Sports Marketing, specifically tailored for Indian students and working professionals in the sports domain. Scheduled to commence in October 2025, the nine-month online program blends Rafael Nadal’s high-performance ethos with UAX’s academic depth, aiming to bridge India’s critical skill gap in sports marketing and business.
“With India bidding for global events like Olympics, CWG and the domestic leagues becoming bigger and more professional India is poised for a sports revolution, and marketing will play a central role in shaping its future. Our partnership with UAX Rafa Nadal University School brings world-class sports education to Indian students and professionals at the click of a button,” said Prasad Mangipudi, Co-founder & CEO, Sportzprix.
The curriculum, developed by UAX Rafa Nadal University School’s academic team, includes a dedicated India-focused module co-created with Sportzprix. This module will adapt global frameworks to suit India’s evolving sports context, covering key topics such as league formats, brand partnerships, digital fan behavior, and the influencer economy in Indian sport.
Open to graduates, athletes, marketing professionals, and sports entrepreneurs, the course offers a flexible online format along with an optional international immersion at the UAX Rafa Nadal campus in Madrid. This hands-on experience will give learners global exposure to modern sports business practices.
“I’ve always believed in the powerful synergy between education and sport. Sport shapes individuals, but without academic grounding, its impact is incomplete. The UAX Rafa Nadal University School excites me because it embodies this alliance — blending education, specialization, and industry relevance. In a rapidly evolving world, we aim to stay ahead by anticipating market needs, and with the exceptional team we have, I’m confident we’ll deliver exactly what the industry demands,” said Rafael Nadal, Founder, Mentor & Tennis Legend.
According to a Google–Deloitte report, India’s sports industry is projected to reach $130 billion by 2030, driven by the rise of digital consumption, league-based formats, and sports entrepreneurship. The introduction of this specialized program is a timely response to this momentum, aimed at building a skilled workforce for the next phase of India’s sports economy.
“The UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport is designed to shape the future leaders of the sports industry, combining UAX’s academic experience with the sport values that have defined Rafa Nadal’s career: effort, humility, discipline, and perseverance. We focus on training the next generation of professionals in the multi-sports industry and sport technology, combining academic excellence with the values and experience of Rafa Nadal and his team,” said Miguel Palencia Yllera, Director, UAX Rafa Nadal University School.
