Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel, the devotional channel of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams’s (TTD), received a donation of Rs.4.2 crore from Ravi Ika President and founder of RxAdvance.
The donation will be utilized for purchasing high-end video cameras and state-of-the-art broadcast equipment required for the devotional channel. Ravi Ika also promised to extend another sum of Rs.2.4 crore as a donation soon to the SVBC trust.
SVBC is the first 24-hour satellite Telugu devotional channel dedicated to broadcasting Hindu devotional programs and live telecasts of poojas performed in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh
Meanwhile, on Monday, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rendered uplinking and downlinking permissions for two new TTD channels to be launched in Kannada and Hindi languages.
