Hotstar VIP has added yet another blockbuster title to its expansive movie library – this time Tamil comedy ‘Comali’. The blockbuster title that is still running in select cinemas, has made its digital premiere on Hotstar VIP, much before its TV premiere. Directed by debutante Pradeep Ranganathan, the film stars Jayram Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde and legendary comedian Yogi Babuin pivotal roles.The movie revolves around the (missing) lifeof Ravi, a boy in mid-30swho goes through a series of struggles after coming to terms with the fact that he was in coma for 16 years.
Ravi’s clean and simple adolescence is cut short due to an accident, and he slips into deep coma. He regains consciousness after 16 years, and ever since tries to make sense of the world around him. In the era of social media and showbiz – priorities have changed, moral values have become obsolete, and basic humanity has taken the back-seat. However, Ravi is still essentially that 17-year old boy, who has the 90s values preserved in him and still deeply in love with his high school love, Nikitha. But nothing remains the same anymore, neither does Nikitha.
Will Ravi be able to bring back Nikitha’s love? Or will new age social cultures take over their innocent love story?
