Mumbai: The Hindu, in partnership with WorkL, has received an overwhelming response to the inaugural The Hindu Best Places to Work Awards, with organisations from finance, technology, travel and other key sectors across India participating as entries near closure.
The awards seek to recognise organisations that demonstrate excellence in employee engagement, wellbeing and workplace culture—areas that are increasingly central to attracting and retaining talent in a competitive business environment.
Participating organisations invite their employees to complete a confidential survey based on WorkL’s globally recognised Six Steps to Workplace Happiness framework. The framework evaluates engagement across six parameters: reward and recognition, pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction.
The awards will honour organisations across four categories—Small, Medium, Big and Very Big Organisations—ensuring representation across different business scales.
With the entry deadline set for February 28, 2026, organisations have been encouraged to complete their registrations before the window closes. The results of the awards will be announced on April 15, 2026.
Commenting on the response, Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, said, “The strong participation from organisations across sectors highlights the growing focus on employee experience in India. Our partnership with The Hindu brings a credible, science-backed approach to recognising truly great places to work.”
L.V. Navaneeth, CEO of The Hindu Group, added, “The enthusiastic response reinforces the importance of people-first workplaces. Through these awards, we aim to recognise organisations that place employee wellbeing and engagement at the heart of their success.”
The initiative underscores the rising emphasis on structured employee experience measurement and independent benchmarking as organisations seek to build sustainable, high-performance workplace cultures.
