Bengaluru: VerSe Innovation, the AI-powered local language technology platform and parent company of Dailyhunt, Josh, Magzter and NexVerse.ai, has announced the appointment of P. R. Ramesh as an Independent Director on its Board. He will also serve as Chair of the Audit Committee, as the company strengthens its governance framework ahead of its next phase of growth.
A Chartered Accountant with over four decades of experience, P. R. Ramesh brings deep expertise in financial oversight, corporate governance, regulatory advisory, and board leadership. He is the former Chairman of Deloitte India and a former member of the Deloitte Global Board, having advised leading Indian and multinational corporations on governance, risk management, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Over the course of his career, he has served on the boards of several prominent organisations, including Air India, Cipla, Nestlé India, Larsen & Toubro, Crompton Greaves, ITC Hotels, Cyient, Tejas Networks and Housing Development Finance Corporation. He was also recognised as “Best Independent Director” by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability for 2022–23.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Ramesh has contributed to policy and regulatory dialogue in India through his association with key committees linked to Securities and Exchange Board of India, Reserve Bank of India and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

In his role at VerSe Innovation, Ramesh will chair the Audit Committee and oversee financial reporting integrity, internal controls, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and audit processes—adding depth to the company’s board oversight as it continues to scale operations and strengthen long-term value creation frameworks.
