Chennai: With the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, television viewers have been deprived of their favorite serials since all shoots were on hold during the lockdown. Subsequently, Vijay TV viewers were being treated with re-runs of some of the shows like Mahabharatham, Super Singer, Lollu Sabha, etc. and many blockbuster movies during the lock-down period.
The channel is set to launch a new mega serial titled ‘Senthoora Poovey’ on Monday, 08 June at 9 PM.
Senthoora Poovey is a romantic family drama. The show marks the entry of Actor Ranjith(acted in popular films like Pandavar Boomi, Beeshmar, Nesam Puthusu, etc.,) into television.
The story revolves around Duraisingam a middle-aged (45) widower with respectable family background. He has two beautiful little daughters Kayal and Kani. After his wife, Aruna died Duraisingam had not thought about a re-marriage. As circumstances change Duraisingam ends up marrying Roja, his daughter’s school teacher despite a big age difference between them. The story revolves around on them trying to get along and finally fall in love with each other.
The channel also brings back all its original fiction shows such as Pandian Stores, Bharathi Kannamma, Ayutha Ezhuthu, Thenmozhi B.A, Kaatrin Mozhi, Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar from next week onwards.
