Chennai: Vijay TV has announced an exciting line up of special programs and movie premieres for its viewers, on the occasion of Tamil New Year on April 14th, 2018.
A special debate show will be telecasted as Puthandu Sirappu Pattimandram at 9 am on the topic “Paarambariyam Sugama? Aladhu Sumaiya?”moderated by Prof. Suki Sivam.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s latest blockbuster movie Velaikaran starring actor Nayathara in the female lead will be premiered at 10am. The movie is a social thriller written and directed by Mohan Raja which has the star cast of Fahadh Faasil, Sneha, Prakash Raj, Robo Shankar and many others. Produced by R.D. Raja, Anirudh Ravichandran has scored the music and Ramji has done the cinematography. The movie revolves around Arivu, a sales executive who fights against food adulteration in corporate companies.
At 1.30 pm time band, actor Vishal starrer, action thriller movie Thuparivalan directed by Mysskin will be premiered. The film also features Actor Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah and Vinay.
A special episode of Super singer season 6 with dance legend, Prabhu Deva will be the special guest and will be seen shaking a leg to some of popular numbers. Singers like Benny Dayal will be entertaining the audience with some classic hits of Prabhu Deva, along with the contestants. Young director Karthick Subburaj and music sensation Santhosh Narayanan will also be present in the sets of Super singer 6 aired at 5 pm.
The channel will be telecasting a socio-political blockbuster movie, Aruvi, in its 8 pm time band, written and directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman. The movie portrays the events that occur in the life of Aruvi, a rebellious young woman, that received widespread critical acclaim, with praises directed towards the performances of the cast and the film’s direction. The film stars Aditi Balan in the lead.
