Bengaluru: Vikas Bansi, currently Business Director of the OTC division, has been elevated to lead the Healthcare Business for Pharma and OTC Division at Himalaya Wellness Company.
Bansi joined Himalaya in May 2022 and played a key role in establishing and scaling the OTC business. Under his leadership, the division achieved stronger market penetration and deepened trade partnerships. His understanding of consumer dynamics and pharmaceutical business intricacies, combined with a proven execution track record, positioned him to take charge of the integrated healthcare business.
The transition reflects Himalaya’s focus on strengthening internal leadership capable of scaling operations while fostering integrated systems that align pharmaceutical expertise with consumer accessibility. The move is part of a broader strategic alignment in response to India’s evolving healthcare landscape.
By bringing together the Pharma and OTC divisions under unified leadership, Himalaya aims to create a cohesive continuum of care — leveraging its scientific research capabilities to build consumer-centric brands while using its market infrastructure to expand the reach of its pharmaceutical portfolio.
Vikas Bansi, Director of Healthcare Business (Pharma and OTC Division), added, “By bringing together our OTC and Pharmaceutical strengths, we are building a more cohesive healthcare ecosystem that seamlessly connects medical science with everyday wellness.
