Mumbai: VinFast has appointed Anurag Saxena as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for India, strengthening its leadership team as the company expands its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets. Saxena shared the development through a LinkedIn post.
Announcing his new role, Saxena expressed enthusiasm about joining the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer’s India operations. He said he looks forward to contributing to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth while navigating the evolving dynamics of the Indian automotive ecosystem.
“I’m delighted to step into the role of Deputy CEO at VinFast Auto India Pvt. Ltd.. India represents a dynamic and evolving automotive landscape, and I look forward to contributing to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Excited for this new chapter and the opportunities ahead,” he wrote.
Saxena brings more than two decades of experience in the automotive sector. Prior to joining VinFast, he spent nearly 23 years with Honda, where he held several leadership roles across the organisation.
His most recent position at Honda was Operating Officer, a role he held from April 2024 to February 2026. During his long tenure with the company, he gained extensive experience across operations and business functions.
Saxena began his professional career at Cosmo Ferrites, where he worked in international sales before transitioning into the automotive sector with Honda.
The appointment comes as VinFast continues to strengthen its leadership and operational capabilities in India as part of its broader global expansion strategy in the electric mobility segment.
