Mumbai: Network18 Media & Investments Limited has appointed Vipin Ramachandran as Lead Marketing – South, strengthening its regional marketing leadership at a time when the media group is sharpening its focus on platform-led growth and brand-led audience engagement.
Ramachandran joins Network18 from Sony Pictures Networks India, where he was Senior Manager – Brand Marketing for Sony LIV, overseeing brand-building and audience growth for the streaming platform in a highly competitive OTT market.
With 13 years of experience spanning media, entertainment, digital platforms, retail and agency environments, Ramachandran brings a rare blend of strategic and executional depth to his new role. His career has cut across brand marketing, sales and media planning, giving him a 360-degree view of how audiences, platforms and advertisers intersect.
Before his stint at Sony LIV, Ramachandran was part of the IKEA India mandate at Mindshare, where he led media-driven marketing initiatives to scale both the retailer’s offline and e-commerce businesses. Earlier, at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, he was a Senior Brand Manager and a key member of the team that launched the Malayalam general entertainment channel ZEE Keralam, helping establish the brand in a competitive regional television market.
He began his career on the advertising sales side, with roles at leading regional media groups including Mathrubhumi and Malayala Manorama Television, building a strong grounding in client partnerships and revenue-led media strategies.
In his new role, he will be responsible for driving brand and marketing initiatives across Network18’s South India portfolio, with a focus on building stronger consumer connect and accelerating growth across television, digital and emerging content platforms.
